Red Line Yarn Crawl

I just finished sorting all the awesome Blue Heron Metallics for this weekend’s Red Line Yarn Crawl and I just can’t wait to get started on a new project! Problem: Do I want to stick with a rich, jeweltone like Raspberry or go with a soft neutral like Sand? Too many to pick from! If you are able to make it in Saturday for the Red Line Yarn Crawl you can help me decide, really. In addition to Blue Heron yarns (did I mention we have, in stock, every color of the metallic?) we also have a stunning display from Be Sweet and our very own, in house yarn, Rooftop Yarns. For Saturday we’ll have loads of fun all day including hourly door prizes, food and drink, deep discounts on many of our great yarns and an after-hours social from 6-8pm. I attached the flyer for this event and hope you can join us, Windsor Button and Mind’s Eye Yarns at some point Saturday.
If you wanted to come in between now and then, we do have a good selection on marked-down yarns in our clearance section. Check out the Debbie Bliss Rialto at 50% off and the Queensland Hyacinth Cotton also at 50% off!! We’ll be here on Saturday evening getting ready for the crawl, and no doubt looking for a minute to sit and relax and knit – please come and sit, knit and bring your favorite beverage to the table. Tomorrow afternoon, before the adult time together, we have our monthly kids club from 4-5:30pm. If you would like to bring your 6-12 year old in for some crafting time, let us know and we’ll get some sewing done together. I hope to see you soon!
If you have a chance check out today’s Boston Globe featuring an article about the spread of what we do here at Stitch House. In the Boston area we’ve seen an increase in the number of small shops in the business of teaching crafts, particularly knitting and sewing. It is a great testament to your craft and all the great things happening in and around Boston. Here’s a link to check it out directly.
If you have a chance to comment on the article thank the writer, Linda Matchan, for writing about some of the best things happening! Too often the negative gets all the attention. Cheers to us in this business!
A few other reminders:
  • We are collecting prom gowns through April 1 for Belle of the Ball,
  • Save the date to knit baby mittens on Sunday April 10, 10am-12pm
  • Join us for the wedding celebration and viewing for Prince William and Kate Middleton at 5 am on Friday April 29, and
  • Join my Stitch House Run to Homebase team!
I know I’m forgetting a few things but there’s always next week!
