I’ve been flipping through all the new-for-Spring catalogs this week and pleasantly surprised by the amount of color and sharpness of prints in what’s hot for the 2012 Spring Season. For me, this is good news. I LOVE color and the bolder and brighter the better. The even better news is the color of the year 2012: Tangerine Tango! It is a fantastic shade of one of my favorite colors – orange. Take a look at the link and get inspired to make something with color this season. Better yet, join me tonight for Quilt Club from 5-7pm and start that bright quilt, knit with us and work on a cool and hot toned project or next Wednesday come in and sew Amy Butler’s Anna Tunic in one of our awesome prints!
If you’re more of the competitive type, try your knitting hand in one of our upcoming Knitting Contests! We’re challenging you to 4 this year. March is mittens, June is a Toy, September a Shawl and December is an Afghan Square. Get started at any time this year and submit a project and maybe you can be a winner. More details are attached in the flyer and crocheters and sewers – your contests will be announced in the coming weeks – please don’t worry, I am including you too!
In the meantime, build your confidence with one of our many upcoming classes. You can try something for the first time, like beading, or get that sewing machine out of the box and use it! We have many choices for you and your kids. Here’s some and the rest are attached:
