Red Line Yarn Crawl Today!

I know this is an unusual time to hear from me – but I was up late gathering all the yarns that are on sale today for the Third Annual Red Line Crawl 2012. So here I am, up early this morning, the donuts for the kids on the kitchen table, the husband has his instructions for the day, which includes hockey, baseball tryouts, another hockey game, a hockey banquet and two birthday parties (Happy Birthday Emma, Jacob and cousin Patrick!)! These activity planners need to get with the times… it is the Red Line Yarn Crawl! They should know better to schedule everything for the George boys today!
Anyway, I hope you will come by at some point today. We’re here all day. Opening at 9am for you early birds and then we open late for you night owls, closing at 8pm. There are a tons of deals including 50% many of our favorite yarns, a gift bag for the early guys and hourly prizes, We’re also so happy to have grand prizes from Amy Butler, Classic Elite, Knit Collage, Malabrigo, Cascade, Blue Sky and all the others I forget without my second cup of coffee. We also have giveaways from Clover, Sublime Stitching, Namaste and many more.. again need more coffee.
Join us tomorrow afternoon to knit for a good cause. Our monthly Sunday afternoon series continues with knitting and crocheting hats for the Welcome Baby of the Family Nurturing Center servicing families with newborns in Dorchester and throughout Boston. Last year we made dozens of pairs of mittens, this year we’re making hats! If you aren’t able to join us tomorrow, Sunday, March 25 from 3-6 at the Stitch House we will gladly accept knit hats anytime this week!
In other news around the ‘hood.. Tomorrow is the very fun Dorchester Chili Cook-Off. It is an awesome event and super fun for kids. I love it – and my kids do too. Plus, it supports the Dorchester Day Parade Committee. Here’s the beef (veggie options offered too):
