Run Fun, Triplets Turn 6, Quilt Club, Knit 101/102, Summer Camps 2012

Greetings from the sunny side of the clouds… yes, the clouds are breaking up and the sun is starting to return to our neck of the woods! I hope this is the start of a real Spring… or just skip it and get to Summer already!?

In the last week the triplets, Charlie, Kayden and Samir, have turned 6! And they are enjoying their added year and extra cakes between their classroom party, their “real party” (on their actual birthday) and then tomorrow’s “fake party” (the one that the cousins get to come over and bring gifts for!). So yes, I’m in-taking a few extra calories this last week.

Speaking of extra calories… I have again signed up to do the Run to Homebase with the Red Sox Foundation next weekend! And luckily for me there is a walk option, because I have not done a great job training for this run. I do hope you could donate to my fundraising effort this year. You can make a cash donation in the shop or do it online. All Stitch House customers who donate $20 to my effort will receive a coupon for 20% off your next purchase. Please help me reach my goal and walk off some pounds!

Tonight is a Quilt Club night – and if you’re thinking of joining, stop by and see what we’ve been working on. I’ll be posting additional pictures to Facebook and announcing the next Quilt Club Project next week – think summertime fun! Remember, this is a free club with purchase of project materials! Join us and learn a new skill and create a wonderful quilt.

If quilts aren’t your thing (the horror!) we have a few other workshops happening. You could make some new window treatments in our Home Dec class starting next Wednesday, start an Intro to Sewing Class on Tuesday mornings (good idea before the kids get out of school for the summer), Learn to Knit or develop your knitting talents in our Tuesday night Knit 101/102 class, or get started on the road to social media success for the crafter with Jeanne on Wednesday evenings.  There is so much to pick from, you can check out the details below or see the full listing attached.

In other news, I thought you might enjoy trying out the pattern I am casting on this evening. Join me for a Knit-A-Long using Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton to make Glow Sticks Cotton Tank. I’m not striping this pattern because stripes don’t always work for me. I using a soft pink imagining how great it will look with a pair of khaki capris or a denim skirt. I’ll keep you posted on my Ravelry Page. While there, become a member of the Stitch House group.

Lastly, thank you to all that came out for the Jacob Sheep Wool Tasting. The day was a huge success for us and we’re so happy that you supported the NTSAD and the work they do! Some of you came in over the week and purchased yarn – and that’s so generous. For those of you making squares, please have them back to us by the end of May… and wait for news on the seaming workshop we’ll host to put them all together – to help raise even more money!

Have a wonderful Mother’s Day – if you spend part of the day with us, we’ll have a nice little treat!

All my best!

Annissa
