The Crawl was a wonderful way to start the season and we hope that you
continue joining us for the Fall. We have lots happening–some as soon
as tonight. Friday night are always our Knitting/Crochet nights, and
you are welcome to join us anytime. We hang out, knit, chat, have a
glass of wine (BYOB) and simply enjoy each others’ conversation and
Tomorrow we have an Intro to Sewing Class: This 2 Saturday class runs
from 10-2pm. We provide a working lunch and there is still one spot
open if you’re interested. Please call us at 617-265-8013 to get in! If
knitting is your vice, Katie is running a drop-in Color Workshop
tomorrow from 3-5pm for $20. Call to reserve your seat, or just come in
if you get motivated. Enough room remains for you and a friend!
While you’re around Saturday, Domestic Boot (boot shop across street)
is hosting a neighborhood Blood Drive organized through the MGH Blood
Donation Center. The Blood Drive will run 9am-2:30pm and you won’t be
able to miss the BloodMobile and you get a free t-shirt! If you give
blood Saturday we will extend a 10% discount the month of October.
Bring us your “donation” receipt for proof.
Sunday, Jeanne is hosting a Free Crochet Workshop from 1-3pm. Get
started on a Baby Blanket of your choice and the workshop is free with
purchase of materials. This workshop will run the next three Sundays
(Oct 14, 21, 28) and you’ll have a beautiful gift to keep or share. In
the afternoon, I am hosting our Quilt Club for an afternoon of sewing
from 3-5pm. Start our current project, a Trip Around the World Quilt,
or finish one you started in a previous Club. The Stitch House Quilt
Club is another Free Worskhop with purchase of materials.
Monday afternoon we kick off our 3 week Kids’ Knitting Class with
Cassidy. Running 3 Mondays from 4-5:30pm we welcome kids ages 8-12 to
learn to knit. All materials are included in this class that costs $60.
Friday, October 19 marks the return of the Stitch House Kids’ Club! We
have made a few changes we hope parents will appreciate. Kids’ Club is
for children 6-10 and will include a sewing project, small crafts and a
movie! We have also planned it to start at 5:30pm and end at 8pm. We
figure that’s just enough time for you to grab dinner or run some
errands. We’ll sew a pillow case and watch The Lorax. All project
materials, pizza and all the fun we can provide for $25 per child,
