Wow, I really have to give Annissa some major credit for putting together so many great emails…I am struggling to put together a few words! While Annissa is on a day trip to NYC with her high school students, I’m holding down the fort and working on the schedule for 2013. However, in the more immediate future, there are some fun things going on at Stitch House this weekend…
There are still spots available in tomorrow’s Intro to Sew. If you want to treat yourself to a new skill or want to spend some dedicated time working on a project, this is a great class to get your sewing machine humming. The class runs 2 Saturdays: December 1 & 8, 10am-2pm. Call us to sign up.
Join me on Sunday for my Chunky Mitten class. Using one skein of chunky yarn on double pointed needles, I will walk you through the process of making a pair of adult mittens. Bring or purchase the following materials: approximately 120 yards of chunky yarn, size 10 or 10.5 double pointed needles, locking stitch markers or scrap yarn for holding thumb stitches, a crochet hook, and a tapestry needle. Please call or email to sign up.
Yesterday was a very happy day for me because we received a HUGE box from Madeline Tosh! In addition to new colors of Vintage and Pashmina, we now have Tosh Merino Light which is great for shawls, socks, and just about anything in fingering weight. Get in soon for the best color selection.
Blue Sky Alpacas has come out with the niftiest little kits for hats and mitts and we have them! The little boxes contain two balls of Royal Alpaca and a pattern. They would be a great gift for a knitter (or a little treat for yourself!)
Thank to all that contributed hats for Dana Farber’s Hats for Kids. We just sent off a big box with hats of all shapes, sizes, and colors. We will continue to collect hats so keep them coming!
As always, Friday is Knitting Night. Please join us!
Thank you for 5 Years of Stitch House!
