I am sure most of you can’t believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner… and you then know what’s next! Yikes, so much to do to get ready!
At the Stitch House I am hoping you might help us help others get ready for the holidays. I am running 2 drives and making one suggestion. First, bring in a canned good (corn, green beans, etc) and get a ball of sparkle yarn (limit 5). Second, bring in a new, unwrapped toy (cash contributions or gift cards to local retailer also accepted), get 10% your total purchase. Canned goods will go to our local food pantry and the toys will be donated to the local police station Christmas Party and to the Mothers’ for Peace and Justice toy drive. This drive will run through December 13.
Finally, my local parish is short turkeys for their Food Pantry and I’d like to help them out. If you could donate a frozen turkey of any size to the Blessed Mother Theresa Parish that would be awesome. I am working out the details on how we can get the turkeys to them so I will keep you posted. We are also working on a raffle of sorts for every turkey donation. More details to follow but please consider this contribution as you shop for your own turkey!
In the meantime, check out some small changes to the website, a few great upcoming workshops, and a cool gift idea that is good enough for you! And remember, Friday night knitting is tonight – all welcome! And next Friday, I’ll be at Friday night knitting for a small special “welcome back from campaigning” party!
