We are Thinking SPRING here at the Stitch House! Claire just finished this cowl and we love the texture and drape! The Sanibel yarn from Classic Elite Yarns
is 42% cotton, 58% viscose. We love this pattern so much, Bill will be doing a workshop on the pattern which is a great “next project” for newer knitters. It’s also the perfect beginner lace pattern too. This is a free workshop with the purchase of yarn and you can download the pattern for free from Classic Elite
. Join us to get going – you must be able to knit & purl. Saturday March 22, 3-5pm. Call to sign up! 617-265-8013
When you visit us, you’ll also have to check out our “Yarn of the Month” Zen Garden in Serenity 20, Silk Singles and Silk DK. All these beautiful yarns would look awesome in a number of patterns. We’d like to suggest: Semele, Vulpex by Stephen West, Hitchhiker and Pleasance – all found on Ravelry.
This last week you might have caught the article about some “BABES” and saw Stitch House sewing instructor, Jen Shell, mentioned. If you missed it – check out the Globe article here
Some of you have asked how could you help the Martin Richard Foundation. Well, we have many friends running in his honor this year as part of Team MR8 (#8 was Martin’s jersey number and age). If you’d like to simply make a donation find a runner who could use the contribution or consider giving to Brendan, a friend running in Martin’s honor.
