If you are a member of Ravelry (who isn’t?) you might have noticed they hit 4 million (yes 4,000,000,000) members. In honor of that milestone they listed great facts about Ravlery over that time and specials about last year on Ravelry. It is worth the read for sure, and note the #1 pattern of 2013 is the Honey Cowl by Madeline Tosh. Claire was so excited about this that she went out and knit her very own in our Yarn of the Month, Zen Garden. We spent the last weekend just loving the feel and design of this great cowl, that we want you to make one too! Claire will run her monthly workshop on the Honey Cowl, Sunday, March 30 from 3-5pm. This will be one of her special “free with purchase” projects – we hope you can join her. You know these fill up quickly, so reserve your space TODAY!
This week we also have some new yarns to share with you! Have you heard that this Winter (I am sorry to say, it is still Winter!) the popular trend has been the “Winter Pastel”? We have a new yarn from Juniper Moon – Moonshine. And nothing says Winter Pastel more that Moonshine in Silver. It is a beautiful wool. alpaca and silk blend, perfect for a shawlette or easy fitting sweater to get you all the way from here to those June cool evenings. If you check out what people are knitting with it, you’ll find the above mentioned Honey Cowl, just one of the many options.
Last but not least, we will be celebrating February and March Birthdays onFriday, March 28 at Stitch House. Join us for knitting around the table from 6-8pm and let us sign Happy Birthday to you and feed you some cake! Please RSVP so we know you are joining us. And, as always, join us every Friday night for Friday Night Knitting…

Toe Up Socks!
Saturday, April 12,
Sara Wolf Returns!
All participants will learn to construct a small scale sock (toddler size) from the “toe up”. Part of our struggle with making socks is understanding the construction from toe to heal to cuff. This workshop takes the mystery out of it all and you can do it in good company!
Please bring a US#4 long circular for Magic Loop or US#4 Double Points and one ball any DK weight yarn. Must be comfortable knitting, purling, increases and decreases.
