Open for More FREE Workshops & Good Times with Us!

Happy Almost First Day of Spring!
We have an exciting few weeks ahead to kick off Spring 2014! It all starts this weekend with Bill’sSanibel Cowl Workshop, Jen’siPad GoodReader Class and then we welcome Amy Herzog for an Urban Knit Retreat. When I opened Stitch House just over 6 years ago, I never imagined we’d become the place for all this activity and your awesomeness! We do have room in the iPad Class but if you missed your chance in the other sessions, don’t worry we have so much more for you. First, if you aren’t joining us this Sundayfor the Amy Herzog workshop, we have plenty of her Knit to Flatter books available for you! If you can’t make it in, just call to order and I’m happy to ship for free…

Next Sunday Claire is hosting a Workshop on the popular Honey Cowl, in April Bill will be helping you along with a Clapotis and Shelley is running a two-weeker to make a baby sweater. I’m running a sewing weekend to make theWasabi Dress/Top and Kate will be teaching another Pre-Teen Sewing class afternoons in April. We’re also working on a date to have a special Crochet workshop in May. I hope you’ll spend some time with us!
In the meantime, Dana Farber is short of Chemo Caps and has asked us for help to get some knit up for them! They aren’t particular about the fiber, so go through your stash and make a quick hat. We will collect them between now and April 4. For every hat you donate, I will put your name in for a chance to win a Namaste Bag with some of my favorite knit goodies.

Although this isn’t a great option for a Chemo hat, it is a great hat pattern for Malabrigo Rasta – if you knit it now, you’ll still have a chance to wear it before Spring arrives. This hat was knit by Marjorie F. The pattern is free on Ravelry;Darn Knit Rasta Hat.
Last but not least, we will be celebrating February and March Birthdays on Friday, March 28 at Stitch House. Join us for knitting around the table from 6-8pm and let us sing Happy Birthday to you and feed you some cake! Please RSVP so we know you are joining us. And, as always, join us everyFriday night for Friday Night Knitting…

p.s. we will be closed SUNDAY, March 23 for the Amy Herzog Knit to Flatter workshop. Sorry for the inconvenience.
