This past Sunday’s workshop with Amy Herzog was fabulous! In her opening remarks…”I’m not here to point out the bad clothing choices, like ‘what not to wear’, I’m here to tell you to knit what makes you feel good”. She also added TONS of pointers on how to wear what you like in a way that flatters your figure. It was wonderful, humbling (the measuring parts) and motivating (now I am so pumped to start a new sweater!). If you weren’t able to join us for the workshop, we are trying to get her back soon! In the meantime you should really check out her book Knit to Flatter – available at the Stitch House, or call and I’ll ship it to you for FREE. And talk to us. Many of us attended Amy’s workshop and we’re willing to share.
If you’re looking for something else to do, we have a lot happening at Stitch House over the next few weeks. Friday evening we’ll be celebrating February and March Birthdays. RSVP for a seat at the table and a piece of cake! We like to know who’s birthday it is – join us! It is also movie night. Friday Night Knitting starts at 6pm. Movie begins about 7pm.
This Saturday, Bill is doing part 2 of the Sanibel Cowl Workshop. I will add some staff if you’d like to participate. It is a wonderful and easy cowl pattern, perfect for this Seasons (not Spring, not Winter). If you were with us last Saturday, come in and show the newbies where they’re heading with this sun and easy project! Here are our colors!
This Sunday Claire is hosting a Workshop on the popular Honey Cowl. Please call and reserve your seat with Claire for this session from 3-5pm. It is a FREE Workshop with yarn purchase.
Last but not least, we will be celebrating February and March Birthdays on Friday, March 28 at Stitch House. Join us for knitting around the table from 6-8pm and let us sing Happy Birthday to you and feed you some cake! Please RSVP so we know you are joining us. And, as always, join us every Friday night for Friday Night Knitting…
Also – Dana Farber is short of Chemo Caps and has asked us for help to get some knit up for them! They aren’t particular about the fiber, so go through your stash and make a quick hat. We will collect them between now and April 4. For every hat you donate, I will put your name in for a chance to win a Namaste Bag with some of my favorite knit goodies.
