Fabric Sale, Dot Day & Local Yarns

So you see here my email is VERY late this week… All I can say is NO to TGIF! As you might know I am very involved in my community and especially in the planning of the Dorchester Day Parade Committee and this Sunday is Dot Day! There’s lots happening all over our photo(23)neighborhood and I hope you might join in some of the fun. Sunday the parade happens along Dorchester Avenue starting from Lower Mills and end at the intersection of Columbia Road. From 2-7pm there will be a block party right out from of our shop. Please come! But, if you can, take the T or plan on a little walk. If you’re up the “other end” and want to make a few stops, check out St. Mark’s Area Main Street Block party too. I expect great weather and better fun – all for a great day!
If you’d rather stay away, I understand. We have much for you to do over the next few weeks. First we have our June Sale kicking off – we have 20 bolts of designer fabric on sale for the WHOLE month of June at 40% off per full yard. It is a great sale for some great fabrics and a nice way for us to make some room.
While you’re in the shop I hope you will check out our newest yarns. We just got in our first batch of Liberty Wool, a great color offering of Villa and the stunning Vail. All from Classic Elite. We ask have to show off our locally dyed Bay Ridge Dye Works yarns. An don’t forget to register for our special Private Yarn Party on Saturday, June 14 from 6-8pm. For this party we will give you a special, private preview of a local yarn by Diane Ivey. Some of you might know Lady Dye Yarns it but we want to introduce in a special way to Stitch House. This is a invite only party and we are limiting the guest list. Please RSVP. We are asking for a $10 reservation fee that you are welcome to use towards a purchase that evening. We’re also providing goodies, and gifts! You know I love a good party – and this won’t disappoint!
Also in june – get comfy with Magic Loop! This VERY USEFUL technique saves us time and frustration when knitting with circulars. Using a fingerless mitten as our project to explore and learn on Saturday, June 7 from 3-5:30pm. Call to register!
Please read the rest of this week’s email for all that’s happening and come in to visit us! Just remember we are now closed Mondays through Labor Day.
Until I see you again,

    Annissa
