Open for Pattern sale, Claire’s Farewell & More!

Jeanne's mom

Claire Bassham

Most of you know that a huge part of the Stitch House success has been the great staff I have been lucky enough to call “mine”. Really. With all my kids, their sports, the high school and then a campaign, I can only do all I do because of the wonderful people who chose to spend their time making my business as great as it is! As the Summer winds down, so will our time with Claire (and her dog Jeanne). She has become one of my best friends and for many of you she is your knitting nightmare rescuer and your encourager. This Spring she started a teacher-prep program at Lesley University and will be in it full-time starting in September. With her accelerated workload she’ll finish the school year certified for Elementary Ed! I am so proud of her and so sad to see her go. Please pop in over the next 2 weeks to say good-bye. We will do a formal “send-off” Friday, September 12 during Friday Night Knitting.

When you come in next week to visit Claire, you can also purchase your passport for the annual Greater Boston Yarn Crawl happening September 18-21. We have a limited number of passports so come in and get them while we have them!

Starting today, knitting and crochet paper patterns (excl. Churchmouse and Brooklyn Tweed) are $1 each! As you must know, online sales have really diminished our pattern sales, so come in and take advantage so we have more room for yarn! Speaking of yarn, ALL of our cottons, now on sale for the month of August at 40% off!

As usual we are here Friday nights all summer long! Join us around the table anytime after 6pm and feel free to bring a snack or beverage to share!
