Knit Workshops, Sewing Sessions, Sale Continues to Grow!

We are organizing atrip to the Red Sox for a little Stitch and Pitch on Thursday, August 20. Gametime is 7:10pm vs. the Royals. Although we won’t have a designed crafting project, we are recommending two super easy knitting projects (I’ll accept crochet suggestions too). If you’d like to “Knit Along” with us, we’re making either the Coors Cowl in Chalet or the Vermonter in Rasta.

On Sunday, August 23 from 4-6pm we’re hosting a Big Sister/Little Sister Match Event. If you are a “BIG” and know how to knit, crochet or sew, come with your “LITTLE” and and join others for an afternoon of fun! If you would like to volunteer to help “Bigs” and “Littles” learn some crafting fun, come too! Please RSVP… we’ll have plenty of crafting supplies and goodies to go around, you just need to bring your imagination!

Summer Sunday Fiber-Days!

Workshops to expand your fiber arts knowledge are here Sundays this summer! These workshops will help you finish projects beautifully, find new projects to work on, and match yarns you love with projects you adore. All this workshops are on Sunday mornings from 10am-noon, and cost $30.

August 23: iPad Workshop using GoodReader! Learn how to read, mark up and note patterns right on your iPad!

is a 2 hour workshop to familiarize yourself with either your personal sewing machine, or ours. We’ll introduce you to the machine, including turning it on, threading it, learning the basic stitches and functions, and caring for it. You will leave this session feeling good about your beginner skills, a handy packet of information to use at home and a starter project for your first sewing class with us. Even if you aren’t taking a sewing class with us, this is a great opportunity to learn a few basics. If you are bringing your own sewing machine- bring all the pieces and the manual (if you can find it!). If you don’t own a machine, come get to know our machines. This workshop also includes taking your measurements, picking appropriate patterns and how to select fabrics and notions. $30 for one session.Wednesday, August 12 6-8pm or Sunday, August 22 10am-12noon.

They are searching for creatives who offer products or services that help with parties, events, and/or home entertaining (think stationary, homewares, baking, floral design, photography, videography, catering, and so on…). Knit Fridays – Skills Mornings

Do you know how to knit but could use some guidance and want to learn more? Would you like to knit with others and need some extra help along the way? Intermediate Knit offers support and hand-holding for those who can knit comfortably but would like to improve their skills and advance their abilities.

This session is offered select Friday mornings from 9-11 am, August 7, 21, 28 $20

Bang In Fridays

You take a day off from work or family and spend a few hours sewing – it’s almost like an adult Day Camp! These sessions are a sewing extravaganza from 10am-1pm.Join guest instructor Stephanie for one or both of her workshops Friday, Aug. 7 & 14, 10am-1pm. Some sewing experience required.

Complete a full box cushion by learning how to size and cut a cover for a foam insert and attach side panels using pre-made piping. We will finish our pillows by hand and add an optional handle for easy carrying and storage. $70 includes materials.

We’re selling sewing machines!


Come check out the new sewing machines that we’re selling! We have 3 shop model machines that will be available for you to order at great price points: $199, $299, $499. They come to us via Ann’s Fabrics and Sewing Machine Center in Canton. Each machine has a variety of bells and whistles for you. We have them out for you to test drive – stop by to check them out!
