Thank you to all who joined us last weekend for the Greater Boston Yarn Crawl. It was a successful event both in business and in meeting new friends! My favorite times include those that introduce new people to the Stitch House. Thank you!

This weekend we celebrate our 8th birthday. YES. We are turning 8 and I LOVE a good birthday party! We have a ton going on sale (preview Friday) and the celebration includes goodies, raffles and giveaways all day THIS Saturday. I hope you can join us.

Because you’ll be asking, we’re putting ALL cottons on sale 40% off, ALL needles 25% off, ALL fabric 40% off (whole yard cuts please) and ALL Clearance at 75% off. We’ll also have 10 more yarns on sale 40% off – that means today I decide which ones….

Our class list is is updated for the Fall including 101, 102 and skills classes in Knitting, Crochet and Sewing. We’ve also added a kids knitting class for Sundays, October 11, 18, and 25 from 2:00-3:30 pm.

We are now open on Mondays! If you are registered for any of our knitting or sewing classes, you are welcome to join us for Monday Opening Knitting/Sewing with Carrie & Camille. Please pre-register because space is limited.

I’m in the final countdown to Election Day 2015. I need your help to cross the finish line a winner. Would you be able to introduce me to your neighbors? Perhaps you could host a “Meet & Greet” in your home, your backyard or at a local establishment… all in an effort to meet voters, talk City issues and get me one step closer to winning this November. I’d love the help in my run for the Boston City Council 2015! To volunteer for this or to help in any other way, email me at annissaeg or call my cell 617-594-1841. and check out the campaign website – Thank you!

We’ll introduce you to the machine, including turning it on, threading it, learning the basic stitches and functions, and caring for it. You will leave this session feeling good about your beginner skills, a handy packet of information to use at home and a starter project for your first sewing class with us. Even if you aren’t taking a sewing class with us, this is a great opportunity to learn a few basics. If you are bringing your own sewing machine- bring all the pieces and the manual (if you can find it!). If you don’t own a machine, come get to know our machines. This workshop also includes taking your measurements, picking appropriate patterns and how to select fabrics and notions. $30 for one session.
